As a member of Method’s Education Team, I host our intro webinar, A Quick Tour of Method CRM. There are a few questions that commonly pop up, so what follows are the top five questions related to our Sales Pipeline Pack.

Our Sales Pipeline Pack contains two apps: the Opportunities App and the Web To Lead App.

For more information about what an opportunity is, see this video:

1) When creating a new opportunity, is it always associated with a customer lead?

No. An opportunity is a potential deal; it’s revenue that may be coming your way.

This may be from a loyal customer who’s been around for years, or a potential lead generated from a contact form on your website. So an opportunity can be from a customer or a lead.

2) Can the pipeline be customized with as many steps (stages) as I want?

Yes. All business are unique, and your workflow and processes may not fit the default stages listed within our stock Opportunities App.

When you expand the stages dropdown, you can edit and create new opportunity stages by selecting New/Edit Opportunity stage.

In fact, most drop-downs in Method have the ability to customize the options within.

3) Is adding the Method contact form to our website as simple as uploading code?

Yes! The Web To Lead app is part of the Sales Pipeline pack, and you can capture leads from your website using this app.

For more information, see our Help Center articles on the Web to Lead app.

4) What opportunity report are available in Method and where can I find them?

There are a number of real-time charts available for you to check the health of your pipeline.

What’s more, there are also a number of printable report documents for you to download and print. For more information, visit our Help Center article for Opportunity Reports / Charts.

There are two places which link to the Opportunities Report page: within the contextual menu when you select the vertical ellipsis on the Opportunities App, and at the top right of the Opportunities List screen.

5) Can I restrict sales reps from seeing each other’s contacts and opportunities in Method?

Yes!

A common need is to restrict other Method users (or sales reps who log into Method) from seeing each other’s records. You can set this up for each user who logs into Method through their account permissions.

Note, this will restrict all the records from being accessible, not just contacts and opportunities. So, if you remove permission from Sam to see Mary’s records, then Sam will not see activities, transactions, customers, contacts, or anything that has been assigned to Mary.

As a member of Method’s Education Team, I host our intro webinar, A Quick Tour of Method CRM. Over the last year of taking new users through Method CRM, I’ve noticed a few questions that commonly pop up. So, what follows are the top five QuickBooks-related sync questions I have encountered along with detailed responses for each.

Running your business takes more than bookkeeping.

Question: When we sign up for a Method CRM trial, are our existing QuickBooks customers automatically loaded in?

Answer: Yes.

Method CRM has a two-way, real time sync with QuickBooks. Virtually everything syncs back and forth, including customers, vendors, employees, invoices, sales orders, items (products & services), purchase orders, bills, and much more. Using Method CRM ensures you only enter data once.

Question: Will Estimates, Sales Orders, Invoices all sync over to QuickBooks?

Answer: Yes.

Yes, the following transactions will sync over: Estimates, Sales Orders, Invoices, Sales Receipts, and Payments. You can access the transactions with the Sales Transactions Pack. If you add the Purchase Transactions Pack, you will also have access to the Purchase Orders and Bills.

Question: Do we have to sync our QuickBooks data with Method? Is Method secure?

Answer: Yes.

For those worried about syncing your information with Method, we take security seriously. Method is hosted on Amazon Web Services, and they are built to meet the requirements of the most security-sensitive organizations.

Furthermore, when you cancel your account, your data will be automatically deleted within 30 days.

Stop spending your day sending emails, estimates, and invoices.

Question: If I create a user in Method, does that user need to have QuickBooks for the sync to work?

Answer: No!

One of the benefits of Method is that everyone has access to view and create QuickBooks transactions without requiring direct access to QuickBooks. When a user signs into Method, they can create an invoice, an estimate, and, in fact, any transaction they want and it immediately syncs to QuickBooks. The Method user does not need to have a QuickBooks Online account nor QuickBooks on their computer in order for this sync to occur.

Question: Are all items in QuickBooks synced over to Method CRM so that we can include them in our transactions?

Answer: Yes.

Items can also be referred to as Inventory, or Products & Services, and yes, these items sync with Method.

When it comes to Advanced Inventory, Method syncs with a portion of the Advanced Inventory features. Please be aware that customization will be required to implement these features on your Method screens. For more information, please see our article on Syncing with QuickBooks Advanced Inventory.

Do you want to convert your website traffic into quality sales leads? Are you currently collecting leads and manually transferring them to your CRM?

If so, then we have good news for you. Did you know you can use Method’s web to lead form and embed it in your WordPress site?

Method’s Web to Lead Forms

Method’s web to lead forms are lead generation tools that allow interested website visitors to leave their contact details through a ‘Contact Us’ form. The contact will immediately be entered into your CRM as a new lead. They will have a sales opportunity created for them which you can manage via Method’s Opportunity App, and a follow-up activity will be created to ensure your staff reaches out!

Web to lead forms are part of the Sales Opportunity Pack in Method. Once you have access to this app, you can create a lead generation form to put on your WordPress site. Method’s Help Center will guide you through the process of setting up your web to lead form.

Adding a Lead Generation Form to Your WordPress Website

Once your web to lead form is active, you will need the link to embed in your website. This link can be found by clicking Setup on your Web to Lead App.

The web to lead form preferences will give you a link which you need to copy.

Lead generation form for WordPress and Method CRM

Keep this link, you will need it for later.

Your web to lead form page can be created on any page; however, you should create a new page to place the form in.

The next step is embedding the link copied from above via an iframe. An iframe is an HTML technique used to display or embed one web page inside another web page.

1) Within the WordPress page you created, select the Text tab to make sure you are not using the Visual mode:

2) Within the textbox, you should type in your iframe with your link for the src:
<iframe src=”https://miurl.cc/jdRG8VmI” style=”width: 460px; height: 1000px; border: 0;”></iframe>
(Replace link in blue)

3) You are welcome to style the iframe further, but it should have a minimum width of 406 pixels.

4) Feel free to Preview to ensure your page works to your satisfaction.

5) When you are ready to make your page live, hit Publish.

And you’re done!

You now have Method’s lead generation form embedded in your WordPress website, and it’s set up to collect your leads straight into Method CRM!
